CORNELIUS
-The Towns of Cornelius and Davidson are currently offering
registation for their 13th season of youth basketball.  Registration
for the 2009-2010 season opened Monday, October 5 and will close on
Saturday, October 31.  The program is open to boys and girls between
the ages of 5 and 17.
 
Registration is available on-line at www.corneliuspr.org
or in-person at Cornelius Town Hall or the Davidson Parks &
Recreation office.  The resident fee is $45 for the 5 & 6 year old
Instructional division and $60 for all other divisions. The
non-resident fee is $65 and $80 respectively.  Leagues are broken out
by gender and ages 7/8, 9/10, 11/12, 13/14, and 15-17.  Financial
assistance is available on a limited basis.  Skills assessment days
will be held November 12 – 16.  Practices and games will begin in
December, with practices being held on weeknights and games played on
Saturdays.  All participants will receive a reversible jersey and a
participation trophy.  A copy of the participant’s birth certificate is
required to complete the registration.
 
Volunteer coaches,
timers, and scorekeepers are needed.  Team sponsors are also needed,
with sponsor’s names being printed on team jerseys.  For more
