Lions travel to the mountains, come home victorious
The West Charlotte Lions had to travel for the third round of the playoffs but that didn’t stop them from making a statement, beating Watauga High school 93-78 and advancing to the regional rounds of the NCHSAA state playoffs.Â
The Lions will play at Greensboro Coliseum on Wednesday against an opponent that will be decided tomorrow.
Lady Titans lose a heartbreaker, season over
The Lady Titans’ historic season has come to an end as they lose in overtime to McDowell in the section finals tonight 58-49. Sharee Boyd led the Titans in scoring with 12.
The Titans end the season with a 23-5 record.
Lady Wildcats headed to Greensboro
The LNHS Lady Wildcats took the best that AC Reynolds had to give tonight and ended up victorious by a score of 67-63 in overtime.Â
With the win, the Wildcats win the sectional title and  advance to the western regionals in Greensbooro. They will play on March 4th at the Greensboro Coliseum.
